At CineTech Automation, we recently had the opportunity to work on an exciting project to set up a professional podcast studio for Mr. Marcel in Abu Dhabi. This project involved high-quality audio, video, lighting, and networking equipment, along with expert installation and configuration services to ensure a seamless recording experience.
Project Overview
Marcel wanted a complete podcast studio setup that would allow him to produce high-quality audio and video content with ease. From selecting top-notch equipment to providing installation and technical support, our team ensured that every detail was taken care of to meet his expectations.
Key Equipment Installed
Audio Solutions
- Podcast Microphones: We equipped the studio with three Shure SM7dB Cardioid Dynamic Studio Vocal Microphones, renowned for capturing clear, professional-quality sound, and ideal for podcasting.
- Wireless Lavalier Microphone: For versatility, a Rode Wireless PRO Lavalier Mic was added, allowing Marcel to record without being confined to a fixed position.
- Pop Filters and Headphones: To reduce unwanted noise and provide clarity in monitoring, we included three Shure PS-6 Popper Stopper windscreens and three Shure SRH840A Professional Studio Monitoring Headphones.
- Audio Interface: The RODE RØDECaster Pro II was chosen as the core of the audio setup, providing seamless integration for microphones and other audio inputs.
Lighting Setup
- Aputure Amaran 200x S LED Lights: We installed two Aputure LED lights with bi-color capabilities to ensure high-quality lighting for video recording, along with softbox dome attachments for a diffused, professional look.
- Light Stands: Godox Light Stand 260T models were chosen for their durability and flexibility, allowing easy positioning to achieve the ideal lighting angles.
Video Equipment
- Sony PXW-Z90 4K HDR XDCAM: For high-definition video capture, we installed the PXW-Z90 4K camera, providing Mr. Kasumovich with exceptional image quality.
- Blackmagic Design ATEM Mini Pro Switcher: To enable live streaming and video mixing, we integrated the ATEM Mini Pro, making it easy to manage multi-camera setups and deliver live content.
- Heavy-Duty Tripod and HDMI Cables: A SmallRig AD-01 Tripod with a fluid head was included for stability, along with high-quality HDMI cables to ensure flawless connectivity.
Networking and Storage
- Network Cabling: High-quality D-Link Cat 6 cables and RJ45 connectors were installed to ensure fast and reliable connectivity throughout the studio.
- Portable Storage: A Sandisk Extreme Portable SSD with 1TB capacity was added for secure and convenient storage of audio and video files.
Installation and Configuration
Our team handled the entire installation and setup process, from mounting equipment to configuring the RØDECaster Pro II audio interface and Blackmagic switcher. The installation also included professional cable management to keep the studio tidy and functional. After setup, we provided Marcel with training on using the equipment to make sure he could confidently operate the system.

With this setup, Marcel now has a fully equipped podcast studio capable of producing broadcast-quality audio and video.
